Types of Single Ply Membrane Roofing

TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin)

Considered the gold standard of roofing material, TPO membrane is the fastest-growing commercial roofing system. Engineered for superior, long-term performance, while also being environmentally sound. Offers reduced maintenance and is very versatile. Resistant to environmental pollutants and chemicals.

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)

A cost-effective, long-term model. First choice for environmentally sound roofing systems, with its highly reflective, recyclable material. Extremely durable and has a highly resistant surface. Solid options for locations with grease, oil, chemical concerns, and environments with dilute acidic effluents.

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)

Often referred to as “black rubber roofing.” Very reliable, with over 40 years of proven effectiveness. Generally low-cost to install. Great option for low-sloped roofs. 100% recyclable and eco-friendly. Fire resistant. Can last over 20 years, and generally has lower energy costs.

This little roof was EPDM (black rubber) with no slope at all. After removing the existing insulation and membrane, we installed a tapered insulation system to create drainage, and white PVC Membrane. We were able to provide the customer with a 25-year warranty.
